Hmm.. did not update my blog yesterday.. Found it quite difficult to stay at home with all the “noise pollution” from drilling and dragging of equipments from the roof of my block.  Yeah.. my block’s undergoing some repainting works and will only be completed towards the end of June

This morning, I was surfing the net for some course info and happened to stumble upon some interesting knowledge..

Apparently, I have been misusing 2 words (and God only knows how many more will I discover down the road) ”revert” and “kindly” in written correspondences such as emails or notices to clients and colleagues.

Well, in my previous employments, it is not uncommon finding me using sentence such as ” please revert soonest possible” freely..  However, to my surprise.. I got to know from that particular website dat I had been using the term ”revert” wrongly.   Revert as it means “return to its previous state or condition”.. All along, I had been using revert in place of “reply”.. well.. its kinda late for me to realise this mistake but on the other hand, glad dat I manage to correct myself so dat it will not be repeated in future.

The other word is “kindly”… Sample sentences are  ”kindly send me the cheque by this week” and “kindly pay at the cashier”  Sound harmless eh? Well, at least to me it did.  However, to my horror, the source went further to explain dat “when u use the word kindly, it often means dat u r annoyed with the person u r writing to” .. Thus it would be better to use the word “PLEASE”.

Guess it’s time for me to take up some courses to polish my English.

I must admit that I am somewhat a klutz when it comes to relationships…  Maybe I dunno how to manage? No Luck? Destine to remain a spinster? Hmm.. whaaaatever K

For one, I am from the old school of tots whereby I would still prefer the guys to make the 1^st move. Hahaha… dat would more or less indicate dat I am no longer young

( just realise that in a particular section of my blog, my age could be calculated by doing a tad of math )

I do realise dat this old thinking of mine could work to my disadvantage in the present world.. However, I just cant seem to overcome it by making the 1^st move. Pride? Fear of rejection? Highly possible..

A couple of guy frenz did mention dat even guys nowadays do feel shy thus not daring to make the 1^st move.. Err… so if the guys r shy.. then what about us gals:-??

Recently, I joined a social activity together with my best pal.  What r best pals for eh?  She told me that she felt dat 1 of the guys is pretty suitable for me.. From the way dat guy and I communicated + some other observation of hers, best pal had been urging me to make the 1^st move citing dat it would be an opportunity wasted K

Yesterday, when I told a guy fren about this guy from the social activity, he said.. “U r already ¼ of a scarecrow”.. Ouch.. How it hurts yet no denying that his words hold some truth. L

Yet, in this head of mine, I keep thinking, how embarrassing it would be if I were to initiate contact but the outcome aint mutual?  Besides, we did exchange contact number.. meaning to say dat dat guy has my number too so if he’s interested to develop this frenship, he would have made his move..

Anyone out there ever had or has the same mentality as mine? Any suggestions to overcome it? 

Maybe the guys out there could provide some constructive insights too?

For the past 4 years during chinese new year, i have been baking tis.. more for family & frenz rather than selling..

Hmm.. I 1^st tried burbur hitam with ice cream was during my trip to Hongkong a couple of years back.  B4, I had only know of hot/warm burbur hitam.. did not know dat tis can actually be eaten cold .. the only difference I noted was dat eaten hot, it tends to be a wee bit more watery while the cold version is a tad thicker in inconsistency.

Upon returning from my trip, I started trying out this new and yet not so new dessert. Hahahaha… of coz I was unable to produce the exact taste as dat of Hongkong’s but well.. my family and relatives enjoyed it
